That’s the picture of Maribaya beauty formerly. Because its beauty and comfort of the region, location of hot spring water is called by the name of Maribaya. The beautiful view is accompanied with waterfall hiss is depicted as a pretty girl making every young man surrender. But, was the tourism object Maribaya still beautiful nowadays?

Since it starts developed at 1835 by Eyang Raksa Dinata, the father of Maribaya, the location of this tourism object successfully changes his poor life of previous Eyang Raksa Dinata. He becomes rich. Many people visit this waterfall. They are not only come to take a break but also to take a breath in hilly natural fresh air and also drug by the way of bathing in warm water.
Eyang Raksa Dinata who actually wish to avoid bloodbath in his village, gets benefit of properties after managing source of hot spring water which can be utilized for health therapy. Maribaya’s family obtains some money from the coming visitors.

At two o’clock, early mornings, our four wheel four vehicle pass by quickly in slow motion between the cold of parahyangan. The environment is rather drizzles and foggy, forced my eyes to stay alert for every the crook road at this hilly area. Maribaya, that is our direction where our vehicle driven to. That moment is not the right time to visit, but its security person tells that Maribaya are open for 24 hours, The dark night will make some of the glamour’s panorama cannot be enjoyed. But its OK, at least I was able to bathe the warm water for relaxation eliminates Lethargy after riding for 3 hour from Jakarta. Tomorrow morning, when the sun rises I can enjoy it with a bowlful of hot meatball anyway.
Maribaya is one of tourism object for local government of Kabupaten Bandung. This tourism object is formerly famous for its hot spring water. But lately it’s submerged after another hot spring water tourism object, Sari Ater, opened. Sari Ater Location is more strategic because it located in Bandung-Subang road access. Visitors are not necessary to find away into this tourism object through the busy and crowded market of Lembang as if we visit Maribaya.

Along with hot spring water, on this location you can also found another big waterfall called Curug Omas, with height approximately 30 meter. Its also becomes separate fascination for tourist to pay a visit there. The existence of facility two observer bridges from upper side and under also gives amenity to visitor to be able to enjoy waterfall without the fear of getting wet.
Visitor can also "slouches" in area around waterfall, lying down on mat rented by little hawker become a good choice. The hawker also assists you to buy out some food for you. Cool air and few leaves on the trees is added also thundering voiced waterfall in the distance, makes this crowded tourism object is visited on the weekend. At that moment some youngster seems to jesting under a waterfall what overflows. Some make a funny poses to shoot by his friend. Wet clothes is hit by refraction of waterfall, instead increasingly their laugh and joked.
At the other corner, some group of visitor of feeds wild monkey on the location. The monkeys sometimes brave enough to come closer to visitor, they expects food hurl and is each other scrambling with other monkey. Some child happily screams watching monkey’s activity. But there is also seems some child hid on their parent feet when a monkey tries comes nearby.

Overall, from my observation, this tourist object, Maribaya likely more visited as waterfall recreation rather than its hot spring water. Of course there are still some visitor exploiting the hot water in this visit as one of therapy alternative of to some disease types, but if I see in in a flash, coming visitor tends to enjoy the waterfall or just take a break under the trees.
